So Much Stuff!

Yesterday was grocery day so I hit Sprouts and Trader Joe's. I also got some tea at Natural grocers. I'm really grateful that Sprouts, Trader Joe's, Natural grocers and Smiths are all within blocks of each other. It makes it very easy to get the best deals!
Ginger live probiotic soa, sweet onions, opal apples, parsley, powdered ginger, dried elderberry and hibiscus flowers, pineapple, roasted dandelion tea, Cara Cara oranges, bulk rice and pink salt, Gluten free pasta, Bigelow beauty tea, avocado, collard greens
Everything above is from Sprouts except the dandelion tea and the unmentioned Newman's own peanut butter cups. Those are from Natural Grocers. This week Sprouts has pineapples on sale for $.98 each!!  And they've had the Live soda on sale for many weeks now and that makes me so happy!!

I spotted some new to me vegan ice creams at Sprouts! The Hukuna Banana is banana and coconut milk based and the O' My is coconut cream based. They have a root beer float flavor!!! Although it's on sale now, I'm not too crazy about the regular $7.99 price.
Frozen strawberries, lemons,Romaine lettuce, coconut milk, basil, nooch, soy creamer, celery, tofu, carrots, roasted garlic hummus and bananas

Trader Joe's has the best price on organic celery anywhere. I keep reading about the amazing health benefits of celery juice, so I'm going to try to get back into that habit. I'm going to add pineapple to make it a bit more palatable.
Trader Joe's is now carrying Miyoko's vegan cream cheese. My Trader Joe's only has the lox flavor so far, but I think some also have plain? I have two packages of clearance gluten free bagels in my freezer that would LOVE some cream cheese, but this is pretty pricey even at Trader Joe's, and I've never had lox so I don't know if I would like it. But it's awesome to see!
I made homemade pesto last night and tossed it with cauliflower gnocchi. I used sunflower seeds instead of pine nuts and it turned out so delicious! If you haven't tried Trader Joe's cauliflower gnocchi, you need to!! It's one of my favorite Trader Joe's products!
Nothing better than a fluffy, chunky Etta belly to cuddle with! I swear Kiki is relentless in her pursuit of a cuddle!

  1. I have a recipe for carrot lox that hits a lot of the flavor notes of salmon lox, if you ever feel like trying it out (bonus points for being a lot cheaper than fish): http://foodfordissertating.blogspot.com/2017/06/temari-rabbit-2-tier-bento-91.html

Meanwhile, 98 cents for a pineapple!!! That's amazing!

    1. Thanks! Maybe I'll try that out and if I like it I'll try the cream cheese. I have a hard time thinking of fishy flavored cream cheese!
I know, I'm in pineapple heaven!!

  2. I haven’t tried that Miyokos yet either, I’m tempted just because i know TJs will take it back if i dont like it, but at the same time it’s definitely pricey. I only seem to want cream cheese when i go to a bagel shop and most of them have tofutti pretty cheap. Actually got an everything bagel with scallion tofutti that was massive (i had half for lunch with some raw veggies and half for dinner with some veg soup)
I think i would rather snack on celery than drink celery juice but it sounds better with pineapple involved. I feel like a pinch of salt will help that too.

    1. That's another reason I didn't try it, there are so many less expensive cream cheeses that I enjoy. Heck even Trader Joe's has a vegan cream cheese that's tasty. But I just don't know about a fishy cream cheese.
The pineapple definitely helps, but it's still rough!!

  3. Ooh! I would love to try that Miyoko's Lox Cream Cheese.
That O'My ice cream is at Wegmans. I really want to try the root beer one, but too expensive! It is $5.99 always.

  5. With the LOX...is it salty or fishy tasting? That kind of scares me!

  6. Oooh what amazing hauls! That is amazing that everything is so close and you know I have major Sprouts envy. What a great store. Kiki and Etta are so snuggly and adorable! The pesto gnocchi sounds delicious and the ice cream looks awesome! I love that all of these new products are coming out all the time!
