I went in search of a bishop and the library yesterday. I got lost( thanks bus driver) but I did find the library. It is a mega glass building, the polar opposite of what I was expecting. It reminded me of buildings in movies where it's all glass. There are three stories, and the elevators are all glass! To be honest, I like my libraries to be less flashy, but like everything else, I will adjust, however grumpily. I now have library cards from three states. And I used the cards often! I am immensely proud of that for some reason.

Sorry for the glare! They have a pretty decent vegan cookbook section. The lady who gave me my card told me that there is a big straight edge community here, and so that helps the vegan market. She told me it's very hard to find a restaurant that isn't vegan friendly. That made me sooooo happy! If you're straight edge, SLC would be a perfect city considering the drinking laws! I've never looked at Veganize This before. It looks pretty good. I only got cookbooks, because I still have another book to finish reading before I start another. Plus, books are heavy, and sometimes I get too many, and my shoulders are DYING by the time I get home.
I stopped at two churches to talk to a bishop, but both were locked!! I actually didn't know churches locked their doors. I'm calling the one closest to my apartment to see if I need to make an appointment. GAHHHH!
I was going to make pizza last night, (I needed comfort) and I got a little creative. I love my kitchen so much I can't put it into words. I actually didn't realize how much I truly hated my kitchen in Seattle until I got this kitchen. Anyway, I decided to make pizza rolls, like cinnamon but pizza. I just rolled the dough into it's normal rectangle shape, and spread the sauce, some garlic, green olives and vegan shreds and rolled it up, and sliced it.
|Yay for dipping!|
Happy Friday, and Here's to finding a Bishop!
