Friday!!

I got a little bit better picture of the gigantic tulips in my neighborhood. They're just so pretty and tall! I wanted to get a few pictures and angles, but the people who live there came out of the house and I got self conscious.
I tried a glass of the forty cent ginger lemonade, and it is really tasty! I'm definitely going to try and get more, although at that price I don't know if there will be any left. Yes, I'm very classy and use peanut butter jars for drinking glasses. Reuse, reuse reuse!
For dinner I made this delicious noodle bowl. It's just rice noodles, spinach, edamame, and tofu with a peanut sauce made with peanut butter and garlic chili sauce. And a little sesame oil. Drizzled with sriracha because I always need more spice!
I noticed these candies at Smith's last week and with the huge vegan label I couldn't not try them. They weren't pricey either. I finally got around to trying them last night and they are DELICIOUS! They have a great sweet taste but not too sweet, and the texture is spot on. Perfect vegan gummies.
Look at these two with their little arms! Squee, always a moment of cute around here. I love how Kanye is just looking at me like what's the big deal?
Happy Friday!

  1. Some really excellent cat pics this week. Funnily only 2 of my tulip bulbs came up this spring but they were really tall. I like the sound of ginger lemonade. I can't have alchohol with my new permanent meds so I've been exploring the world of soft drinks the last few months and this sounds like something I'd enjoy!

    1. These are the first really tall tulips I've ever seen and they're gorgeous! My girls have been posing up a storm this week for sure!
The ginger lemonade is so good. It's tart with that little ginger kick. really refreshing.
Will you have to be off alcohol forever now?

    2. Whilst I'm on morphine I will. There is a risk of getting a collapsed lung if you drink and I don't fancy that! To be honest I've let myself have the odd half glass of wine when I've been at home but I can't remember the last time and to my surprise I'm not really missing it. I've been enjoying things like elderflower presse and even mineral waters from different regions of the workd. My favourite is a French one calked Badoit which is high in magnesium which helps with fatigue.

    3. A collapsed lung sounds terrible! Since my drink of choice was beer, I found that sparkling mineral water really helped when I got a craving for the fizz.
I knew magnesium helped with sleep, I didn't know it helped with fatigue too, that's great to know!

  3. I love your tulip photos, and your cat photos!
I seem to have ended up with a bunch of different vegan gummies lately, which is odd because I don't really eat them.
    Your noodle bowl looks divine.
