Sometimes Noodles Are the Answer!

I have some more interviews this week, and I'm trying to keep the positive vibe high! I'm feeling like some kind of big change is or is going to be happening soon. I don't know what it is, but I just can't shake this feeling. It's a good feeling, and I am really ready for some changes!
In keeping with the good vibes theme, I made a big old green juice with baby kale, adult kale, cucumber, celery, cilantro and apple.
I like celery and cilantro in green juice. It really makes it taste clean and fresh. I also had half of an avocado left over from the night before that was too brown for me to eat, so I made a face mask. Is it just me, or do you have a hard time eating avocados once they've gone brown? I once made the delicious Avocado cream Pasta from Oh She Glows, and it is so amazing, but I was horrified by the leftovers the next day! Brown food is one thing, but food that you know is green that has turned brown is just not something I can do. Sorry, I got a little off topic! Anyway, I mashed half of an avocado with turmeric powder and a little agave, and let it work wonders on my face.
The turmeric makes it so yellow!
After cleaning, exercising, and juicing, I decided to take a ginger detox bath. I always feel better after sitting in really hot ginger water and sweating all the bad stuff out. I feel like all this stuff I'm doing is working because when I first started taking detox baths, I would always get a little headache-y after. That was fine and normal, it was the toxins leaving my body. I don't get headache-y anymore! I just feel really pure and ready to go afterwards. I guess I really am getting healthy! Proof you can get healthy and still have some chocolate, or cake, or chips.
After my bath, I did a little research for some future blog posts, wrote in my journal, and got crafty! I saw Clinton Kelly make these adorable holders once using double stick/side tape and yarn, and I've been wanting to make my old tea canister I use as a pen holder prettier, so check me out! When I still lived in PA., I had a whole cupboard full of these canisters for this craft! Sadly I don't have my huge collection, but I'm slowly rebuilding. I love tea! I am going to get all kinds of different yarn. It's a fun project while watching a movie, which is what I did. I watched a super gut wrenching movie on Netflix called Reservation Road. Wow, it was so intense, I had to pause it several times and kind of walk it off. It was worth it, but WOW.  I really recommend it if you are in the mood for a very intense movie with a sad and kind of disturbing story line. Great acting from everyone, especially vegan actor Joaquin Phoenix.
I was planning on making a recipe from one of my library cookbooks, but I was too into this movie and too emotionally drained to cook! I just felt like if ever there was a night for delivery, this was it! I didn't do delivery, but I did make a simple dinner of baked tofu, and these instant noodles, I guess kind of like Ramen that I found in my cupboard!
It's Mandarin style noodles, and they come with a sauce packet. The sauce packet and noodles are totally vegan, and very clean ingredients! I hate saying clean ingredients, but I don't know how else to describe it. Please forgive me. Anyway, the noodle ingredients are wheat and water, and the sauce ingredients are soy sauce and sesame oil. Pretty cool, I wish I knew where I got these. It's nice to have something so quick and tasty not be totally toxic! These cook in four minutes! The noodles also aren't fried so they aren't a total fat bomb.
The next time I make these, I will play around with adding different veggies to boost the health factor, but for what my needs were last night, this bowl of noodles and tofu was absolutely perfect!
Do you like crafting? What's the last movie you saw that made you cry?

  3. I enjoy crafting and used to do lots but not much these days. I have decided this week that I am going to make Christmas cards this year though and some marmalade for presents.

  4. I used to craft more when I was a nanny. It's very fun and relaxing. Homemade gifts are the best, in my humble opinion!
