Sprouts and Natural Grocers Haul!

I went to Sprouts and Natural Grocers for a few things yesterday. The plan was to also hit Trader Joe's, but I got a later start than I planned and my nerves couldn't take Trader Joe's mid morning on a Saturday.
Live soda, So Delicious Bananas Foster ice cream, Avocados, organic pink grapefruit, Jasmine rice, green onions, cuties, vegan gravy, oatmilk yogurt, bulk spices and hibiscus flowers, rice cakes, Mary's Gone crackers
Sprouts has avocados on sale three for one dollar this week!! Six avocados for two dollar, yes please!! Something that I really like about Sprouts is that the produce section is the largest part of the store, and it's pretty much front and center. And the produce is always the busiest section of the store. Where I work the produce section is all the way in the far back corner, and it's always the emptiest section!
I don't know if So delicious is discontinuing this line or if Sprouts is just not selling it anymore, but this was on discontinued clearance for $1.40 a pint!!! So I got two. I actually wish I would have bought more!! I tasted it when I got home when it was kind of melty and it is AMAZING!
Here's my tiny Natural Grocers haul. I went in just for teecino and Epsom salts, but they had daiya and kevita on sale. And I have been needing more garbanzo flour for the longest time. I love having chickpea pancakes for a quick meal.
I'm going to Target today with a coworker. I went there once before the holidays and I was shocked by the vegan selections. So I'm going to see if I can get some of the basics I would have gotten at Trader Joe's. I'm excited to see what vegan finds I can get on a budget!

When I got home from shopping I whipped up this white bean harissa hummus. This turned out so incredibly creamy, it makes me want to use white beans all the time for hummus! Lately I've been loving rice cakes with hummus. it's one of my favorite snacks!

  1. Target is actually pretty good for vegan stuff. I find things there I can't get at any other non-specialty store (like Sweet Earth stuff in the frozen section and Ripple plant milk and creamer), and I don't even have a Super Target, just a regular one with a bit of food. Plus their store brand ready-to-bake pizza crusts are vegan, which isn't always the case with those things (I'm scowling at you, Boboli). Target is fun--not my everyday grocery store but definitely in my rotation.

    1. I saw so many Sweet earth products I've never seen anywhere else!
This wasn't a Super Target either, but I'm still impressed by all the vegan stuff!

  2. US Target is so much more fun than Australian Target! Ours has some chocolates and stuff like that, but certainly not the food range that US Target has. I keep seeing people posting all these fun things they get from there, and feeling like out Target is letting us down. I guess it is not a supermarket though, it is a department store. But the US Target seems to be both?

    1. I think that's the big thing here in the U.S. we want our superstores. We want to get our food, electronics and clothing all in the same store!! It's pretty crazy and the huge stores can be intimidating to be honest.

  3. I have never ever seen avocados 3/$1! That’s so crazy! I don’t think i could even eat six avocados before they went bad- they keep in the fridge once ripe to stop them from getting more ripe but not sure how long they will last.
Great score on the sale ice cream!
I totally love making socca, my favorite is to top it with lightly dressed greens and avocado actually ;)

I don’t get to target much at all but they do have the best price on ripple milk which i love, and they have those british Heinz baked beans at a good price, i love those so much but elsewhere they’re like $4 a can!

  4. I like to make a chickpea pancake and top it with salad!
I made sure to get the avocados at different stages of ripeness so hopefully I can eat them all. I add them to my smoothies, so even if one is a little too ripe it's fine in a smoothie.
I still have to get a new jug. I was going to stop at the thrift shop yesterday but they're closed on Sundays. So my scoby is in the fridge waiting for me!!

  5. Oooh great hauls! I got to experience the gloriousness of Sprouts and I'm so sad that I don't have one here! It's amazing! That ice cream sounds so good! Really great deals and that hummus looks awesome!
