Follow Your Heart Nailed It!

I am loving that La Croix sparkling water is making a comeback. I have loved this stuff for years, like back when it was lemon, lime, and if you were feeling really wild grapefruit! Now they have a ton of flavors, some good, some just no. The coconut is excellent, the apricot mango for me is a NO. I decided to try the cherry lime flavor, and WOW. So amazing it tastes like cherry and lime, but not in a sugar sweetened, aggro way. I like this for when you want something other than water, and sweet things like soda or lemonades are sounding good. It cures that craving for fizzy and sweet, with no sugar. Grapefruit is still my all time favorite flavor, and I thought coconut was right behind, but this cherry lime is now a solid second. If you like fizzy water, look for this one. I see the most variety of flavors at Target, but I also see limited flavors at other stores.
Sorry, none of my pictures are the best, but this one is super bad. But I still have to share because this salad was EPIC! I made a vegan chicken Caesar salad with beyond meat chicken strips, and of course the Follow Your Heart vegan Caesar dressing!
I know I showed a picture yesterday with my haul, but it deserves another one all on it's own. This is garlicky, it's lemony and it's not too much of either. I made a homemade vegan Caesar awhile ago that was so lemony it was almost inedible. This is perfectly balanced. The texture is spot on as well. It's creamy, but thinner than the Blue cheese and ranch. I don't know how FYH does it. I have served both the ranch and blue cheese to a non vegan who agreed that they both taste spot on, and no one would ever know if you swapped these with their non vegan counterparts. I have no doubt that this Caesar would get the same reaction. It doesn't have any weird freaky ingredients, and it is gluten free for anyone with that sensitivity. I am a frugal person, and I also like to tinker in the kitchen, but sometimes I also know when to accept help, and making homemade vegan Caesar is not my specialty. I am totally fine with store bought dressings in cases like this. And, I think this should be fed to non vegans. I swear these three dressings can at least open some minds.
I also added a few croutons to this salad, and honestly it's been at least a hundred years since I've eaten a crouton. It just made this salad all the more authentic. I can't encourage you enough to try this if you liked Caesar salads, or if you don't try the ranch or blue cheese. Serve it to non vegans and blow minds!!
Happy Thursday!

  1. Thanks for the La Croix flavor review! I love the pink grapefruit too. Sometimes I mix it in with a grapefruit margarita mix that I got at Costco. So delicious. Have you ever tried La Croix peach-pear? It's really tasty :)

    1. The peach pear is my next flavor to try. I couldn't decide between the cherry and the peach, so I went with cherry this time. Thanks for the tip that it's tasty! I'm loving all the options La Croix has!

    1. I know. It was popular awhile ago, seemed to kind go away, and now it's back full force. They have so many different flavors, and I see all kinds of people buying it!
