I really try to do the best I can, but vegan companies aren't the easiest to find, and unfortunately a lot of stuff that comes from super ethical companies is just too expensive to buy n the regular, at least for me. I've gone back and forth with looking at both sides, but ultimately I want animals to be saved, and Ben &Jerry's is mainstream, and I believe more non vegans will be brave enough to try something vegan if it comes from them, a trusted brand. Also, we asked and they gave, and I appreciate it. I wish I could say I will never buy it again, but I can't say that because it is too freaking delicious, and in the end I feel more pros than cons.Hillaryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04829919190901891587noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4710502269072433078.post-37785036499824259682016-03-14T06:47:37.271-07:002016-03-14T06:47:37.271-07:00I am not sure why everyone is so cranky about the ...I am not sure why everyone is so cranky about the whole Unilever thing. I mean I think all vegan ice cream brands are owned by some other large vegan company. I remember finding this out because there was a vegan ice cream brand that boasted that it wasn't owned by a larger company. I wish I could remember the name of that ice cream but I can't right now. I think they went out of business.

Anyways I TRY to buy from all vegan companies but that is near impossible. And as many people have said, it encourages bigger companies to go vegan and it makes veganism easier for everyone.Jenniferhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06730633559388953224noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4710502269072433078.post-19837415812435624742016-03-13T08:38:05.960-07:002016-03-13T08:38:05.960-07:00Oh man, is there a Target near you? I prefer to support the smaller companies as well, especially if they're vegan, but this has just been so long in the making there is really no way I could live with myself and not try these!Hillaryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04829919190901891587noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4710502269072433078.post-14667861431309084102016-03-11T13:36:00.023-08:002016-03-11T13:36:00.023-08:00I wonder how long it will be before I see those ve...I wonder how long it will be before I see those vegan ice creams on our coast?! I tried 2 flavors in the midst of all the hype with some non-vegans. The non-vegans found the ice-cream okay, but not better than the diary options. I will stick to supporting vegan companies. I think they need the support more, to stay in business and to expand. Just Mayo was one of those companies, and they had to fight the same conglomerate offering these non-dairy treats.
